Local Good Resale is a nonprofit store that exists to connect our community to quality home goods and meaningful opportunities to donate, recycle, volunteer, and help fund Local Good initiatives.

Local Good Resale is a nonprofit store that opened in Plano, Texas in 2025 with an important mission: 

To connect our community to quality home goods and meaningful opportunities to donate, recycle, volunteer, and help fund Local Good initiatives.

Here, every donation and dollar stays local and does good.

What We Do

Local Good Resale is a home goods resale shop with a mission.

We accept in-kind donations of home goods, including furniture, kitchenware, appliances, and decor. Then we resell donated items. Every purchase helps meet critical needs through the Local Good.

Why We Do It

Whether it’s opportunities to get meaningful work, access to healthy food, safe spaces for foster kids and families, or support for people learning English…

We believe the most vulnerable in our community deserve a helping hand with dignity. 

That’s why Local Good Resale exists. Every purchase here meets critical needs around DFW through Local Good.

  • Local Good Resale is a non-profit home goods resale shop and a part of the Local Good Collective. We exist to connect people to quality home goods. The best part? Every donation and purchase funds life change in our community by supporting the Local Good.

  • We take gently used furniture, appliances, books, décor, kitchenware, books, bikes, and other household necessities. We accept donations EVERYDAY until 4PM. We can also pickup Visit our Donations page for more info.

  • Yes! We may be able to pickup furniture and large donations. We pick up on Thursdays. See our Donations Page for inquiries.

  • Yes! We’re glad you asked. Check out our Volunteer page for more.

  • Net proceeds from Local Good Resale support Local Good. This group of non-profits works to meet needs in our community through key initiatives such as access to healthy foods, English as a Second Language classes, and resources for foster and adoptive families.

But we’re not always sure how to help. That’s why Local Good exists: we seek to meet critical needs with dignity and make it easy for everyone to join in. Every donation and purchase at Local Good Resale helps meet critical needs in the community by supporting the Local Good Collective.

When you donate to or purchase from Local Good Resale, you’re supporting key initiatives like providing food for neighbors in need, making ESL classes free and accessible, and supporting foster and adoptive families in our community.

And that’s pretty good.
